About Us
Built From
the Ground Up

Adera opened in Addis Ababa in July 2020 with a simple premise: deliver electrical projects that work, on time, without the overhead that slows larger firms down.

Five years later, the company has completed more than 32 projects across Addis Ababa and the surrounding regions. The client list runs from Ethiopian Electric Utility — one of the country's largest infrastructure operators — to private factories, steel manufacturers, and real estate developers.

The team stays lean by design. Between 19 and 30 engineers, electricians, and site staff depending on active workload. That size means senior staff stay hands-on at every stage, not just at handover.

The longer-term focus is on renewable energy and agro-industrial machinery — areas where reliable electrical infrastructure directly affects food production and energy access across Ethiopia.

How We Work
Quality &
Standards

Every project gets a written quality plan before work starts — not a template, an actual plan covering inspection checkpoints, material specs, and handover standards for that specific site.

Delivered against Ethiopian standards and international reference codes. Where those conflict, the project team resolves discrepancies before construction begins — not during commissioning.

The health and safety policy is active, not procedural. Site-specific risk assessments, subcontractor briefings, and direct employee accountability are part of how work gets done.

01 Customer Focus +
Meeting the client's requirements is the primary task of every employee — from engineers on site to management. Not a slogan; it shows up in how project decisions get made day to day.
02 Continuous Improvement +
Planning cycles include explicit improvement targets. Service delivery and internal processes are reviewed against those targets on every project, not just annually.
03 Regulatory Compliance +
All work complies with applicable Ethiopian laws and relevant international standards. Where regulations don't cover a specific situation, the company applies the higher standard without exception.
04 Health, Safety & Environment +
Site-specific HSE plans, mandatory safety briefings, and individual employee accountability. Subcontractors are held to the same standards. No project begins without a signed site safety assessment.
05 Ethics & Integrity +
Business conducted with honesty and transparency. Engineering decisions are made on technical merit. No shortcuts that compromise long-term system reliability for short-term cost savings.
The Team
People &
Structure

The company runs with 19 core staff — engineers, electricians, site workers, and administration — expanding to around 30 during large-scale projects.

That's a deliberate choice. A smaller, stable team means the people who price a job are the same people who build it. The general manager and technical manager stay involved at every stage, not just at the kick-off meeting.

Each site has a dedicated project manager and foreman responsible for day-to-day labor, materials, and schedule. The system is flat enough that decisions get made on site, not lost in layers of approval.

Customer satisfaction is the primary driver of every decision.
Employees are the company's most important asset — treated accordingly.
Integrity and accountability run through every project.
Responsibility to the wider community, not just clients.
